Where You Can Use It
Consumption is permitted in private residences and at licensed cannabis consumption establishments. Public use — including streets, parks, vehicles, and government property — is strictly prohibited. On-site consumption lounges are permitted but may not sell cannabis at the same location.
DRIVING
Driving
Driving under the influence of cannabis is illegal in Arizona. There is no established per se THC blood limit — any detectable impairment is grounds for a DUI charge. THC metabolites can remain detectable for up to 30 days, meaning a positive test does not confirm active impairment. Penalties range from mandatory minimum jail time to felony charges for repeat offenses.
TRAVELING

Cannabis may be transported within Arizona for personal use in a sealed container. Crossing state lines with cannabis is federally illegal regardless of destination state laws. Taking cannabis through Phoenix Sky Harbor or any Arizona airport is prohibited — TSA operates under federal jurisdiction and will refer violations to law enforcement.
